This presentation will focus on the utilization of online map tools to engage students and enhance professional practice for teachers. Tools covered will be Google Earth, Google Maps, David Rumsey Historical Maps, Animaps, History Pin, Scribble Maps and StrataLogica. All of these tools will be presented with tips and tricks for getting the most out of them as well as lesson ideas and resources.

Instructor: Ron Peck, online social studies facilitator for Edutopia of the George Lucas Foundation; Social Studies teacher, and former assistant principal, and athletic director.
