Having Interactive Whiteboards in our classrooms offer us many advantages; perhaps the most powerful of these is the interactive capabilities of these incredible tools. Whether you use a SMART or Promethean board; or you're a beginner or master of the boards, if you are looking for engaging ideas and techniques for the use of whiteboards in your social studies classroom, this is the webinar for you! In order to keep our learning and sharing continual, participants will be invited to join an NCSS discussion site at the Literacy in Learning Exchange (there is no cost for this).

Instructor: Michael M. Yell, former NCSS president and National Board Certified middle school social studies teacher, has had access to SMART Boards for almost ten years, and has also used Promethean Boards. In that time he has learned, and still continues to learn, quite a bit about them and uses his daily. Learning just a few techniques can help you make the use of the boards in an interactive and engaging manner for students.
